for each Special Market Day for 2008 are completed.

June 14: Opening Day. We're kicking off another season with loads of fresh seasonal produce and our special guest Breakneck Annie will be cooking up a delicious musical feast for your ears.

June 21: Strawberry Day. Luscious, red, ripe, juicy local strawberries and strawberry products arrive at the Market in all their glory! We'll have a very sweet Saturday indeed.

July 26: Sweet Corn Celebration. It's the height of the sweet corn season and we're celebrating with freshly picked ears, roasted and hot off the fire. The first one is free!

August 23: 7th Annual Tomato-Me-Crazy Contest. Open to all! Gardeners compete in categories of weirdest, biggest, tastiest and most perfect for prizes. Judged by master gardeners and area chefs. Polka Dots & Moonbeams are the Market's special musical guests. Come celebrate this "jewel of summer" with all of us.

September 6: It's Chilies All Over! A day devoted to peppers, piping hot to sweet and cool.

September 20: Kids Day at the Market and the Annual Pine Bush Harvest Festival. Fun hands-on activities to teach young ones about farming and their food.

October 11: Pumpkin Day. The Market and the Pine Bush Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for a pumpkin party. Musical guest Richard Wiggins will be performing at the Market.

October 25: 2008 Market's Final Day. This is the last chance to stock up on fresh local vegetables (squash, pumpkins, onions, carrots, potatoes, beets...) for the long winter ahead, along with all those delectable breads, pies, sweets, meats and canning fruits.
