Our Special Market Days for 2010

Special Market Day plans are completed.

May 22: Opening Day. We're kicking off our 10th season with loads of fresh seasonal produce, music and art.

June 12: Strawberry Day. Luscious, red, ripe, juicy local strawberries and strawberry products arrive at the Market in all their glory! We'll have a very sweet Saturday indeed.

July 24: Sweet Corn Celebration. It's the height of the sweet corn season and we're celebrating with freshly picked ears, roasted and hot off the fire. And the first one is free!

August 28: 10th Annual Tomato-Me-Crazy Contest. Open to all! Gardeners compete in categories of weirdest, biggest, tastiest and most perfect for prizes. Judged by master gardeners and area chefs. Come celebrate this "jewel of summer" with all of us.

September 25: The 2nd Annual PBFM Apple Pie Challenge. If you think you have the recipe for the perfect apple pie, then see how your homemade creation stacks up in our PBFM Apple Pie Challenge.

October 16: Pumpkin Festival and the 2010 Market's Final Day. This is the last chance to stock up on fresh local vegetables (squash, pumpkins, onions, carrots, potatoes, beets...) for the long winter ahead, along with all those delectable breads, pies, sweets, meats and canning fruits.

Plus, there'll be the Great Pumpkin Pie Bake-Off, the Pine Bush Pumpkin Pie Pig Out eating competetion, music, games and more.
